TLIALOC

TooL innovativo basato su tecniche di Intelligenza Artificiale per la diagnosi dell’emboLia pOlmonare e Cura personalizzata

TL-IA-LOC is an innovative research project that aims to conduct a feasibility study for the development of an advanced artificial intelligence-based system to support the diagnosis and personalised treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE).

Pulmonary embolism is a serious health condition that requires careful clinical management to minimise the risk of recurrence and to balance the side effects associated with the use of antithrombotic drugs, such as the risk of bleeding. TL-TLIA-LOC, with the support of artificial intelligence, will study the feasibility of a system capable of assessing the severity of PE, calculating the risk of recurrence for each patient and proposing personalised treatments, thus improving the effectiveness of treatment and reducing adverse effects.

The project is based on clinical data collected in the Thrombosis Outpatient Clinics of General Medicine 2 at ASST Santi Paolo e Carlo in Milan, to build and validate a high-precision predictive model. Using advanced machine learning techniques, the tool is designed to optimise healthcare resources and reduce costs, ensuring a more efficient and sustainable management of PE.

TL-IA-LOC represents a significant step forward in the application of artificial intelligence to personalised medicine, with the objective of improving the quality of life of patients and optimising the efficiency of healthcare facilities, positioning Italian research at the forefront of technological innovation for health.
